
Private Pilot License (PPL)
The Private Pilot Certificate is the essential first step for anyone pursuing a career in aviation. At GoFly Academy, you'll learn fundamental flight training skills—from aerodynamics and FAA regulations to essential aircraft maneuvers. Our students gain hands-on experience flying Cessna 172 single-engine aircraft during daytime cross-country training, building the confidence and knowledge needed to fly safely and independently.
The hours listed are based on the FAA Part 141 minimum requirements as well as 12+years of expertise at GoFly Academy.
Additional training may be required
All hourly rates are wet, meaning fuel is included in the price. Fuel reimbursements are honored up to local field rates with valid receipts.

Fees for knowledge and practical tests are at the discretion of the examiners and the testing centers and are subject to changes (GoFly Academy does not have any control over required fees)
FAA REQUIREMENTS
You must be at least 16 years old to solo
You must be at least 17 years old to pass the practical flight exam
Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language
FAA medical exam is required
Must be a US Citizen or acquire TSA Approval
