About the Course
The Certified Flight Instructor rating turns your commercial certificate into a career. As a CFI you'll teach primary students, sharpen your own stick-and-rudder and decision-making skills to a professional standard, and build the flight hours that airlines and charter operators require — while getting paid to fly.
Add the CFII (instrument instructor) rating and you can teach instrument students too, which means more bookings, more varied flying, and faster hour building in South Florida's busy training environment.
Training covers advanced aerodynamics, teaching methodology, lesson planning, and flying from the right seat — finished with FAA written, oral, and checkride preparation with our senior instructors.

Common Questions
How much does CFI training cost in Miami?
Each instructor rating — CFI and CFII — starts at $6,900 with members-only rates. Most career-track pilots complete both, since instrument students are a large share of instructing work in South Florida.
Why become a flight instructor?
It's how most professional pilots build time. Airlines typically require 1,500 hours for an ATP certificate, and instructing lets you log those hours while being paid — all while flying in one of the busiest, most instructive training environments in the country.
What do I need before CFI training?
A Commercial Pilot License. If you're starting from zero, our Zero to Hero program takes you all the way through both instructor ratings on one continuous path.
